Kismetsune Lan Backstory
The Lore of Kismetsune LanBefore, there were two realms that never touched.The upper realm was the Mystic Wild, a world of folklore creatures like carbuncles, unicorns, and many more. The lower realm was the Underworld, home to imps, succubi, and other night born beings.One day a demon found a way through. Greedy for power, he crossed into the Wild to steal carbuncles for their power, stealing jewels and treasures to make himself rich.The world felt it. The Heart of the World woke in anger, and with it, Karma woke too.Karma rained down. The demon tried to flee back to the Underworld, but Karma caught him at the threshold and unmade him completely. The force of this did not close the way. It ripped it open.The two realms collided.From that rip, something new was born. An imp carbuncle hybrid, fused with Karma's own dual nature: kind and mischievous, just and playful.They were named Kismetsune Lan. Kismetsune meaning "karma, always."Lan was born for two purposes: to guard and protect the Rip between worlds, and to bring laughter to the new world growing around it.On that seam, a city rose. Its name is Impezel. It is the first place where mythical creatures and hell spawned beings live side by side in harmony.The sky still remembers the wound. It turns soft pink in the morning and deep purple at night.
